Professional Lab Services

The Laboratory forms the fundamental part of Jocham Hospital offering a 24-hour service. Currently, it performs about 200 tests per day.

Below are sections in the Laboratory Department:

  • Microbiology - we have automated machines for culture and sensitivity tests e.g. blood, urine, CSF, stool etc.
  • Biochemistry – automated machines each with backup to handle Lipid profile tests, UEC’s, Bone Chemistry etc.
  • Hematology - Automated hematology analyzer for haemogram test.
  • Immunology – automated immuno-assay machine for conducting thyroid function tests, Anti CCP, IGE etc.
  • Molecular Section (PCR) – Covid19 Test (TT Code Travel certificates), HIV Viral Load, Sputum gene expert, Chlamydia etc.
  • Automated Semenalysis – male infertility
  • Blood transfusion – whole blood, FFP, Packed cells and Platelets.

What happens to my sample once I have provided it?

It is tested and entered results then forwarded to the doctor.
